CASE STUDY – Spain v Uruguay, Qatar
The Brief
Our Qatar partner (Oryx Events) engaged us to assist them with content and ideas for a major football match taking place at the Al Khalifah Stadium in Doha.
With big crowds and a very high profile the brief was for activities and games that reflected the prestige of the event and provided a range of activities and content to engage the very broad spectrum of match goers for this match.
The Vision
Working with our partners we devised a solution that incorporated some of the core football skills, most popular at every football event (Speed Cage, Target Cage and Kick-Point electronic goal) and also added into this the unique Shadow Runner Augmented Reality – where visitors could race against an AR version of Andrew Henderson (World Champion Football Freestyler).
Additionally for the more family-focussed members of the audience we proposed a 3D Football Photo Wall allowing fans to be photographed as part of the team, as well as Table Football Tables and a core staffing team.
The Results
The event was a huge success and the queues were full for the full 4 hour pre-match period.
Alongside the incredible level of football on display the activities truly engaged the crowd and the giant branded game frame structures enclosing them gave the activities a real impact on the event ensuring a great event for fans and organisers alike.
