Case Study - McDonalds - FA

The Brief

McDonalds marketing agency contacted us to discuss the forthcoming sponsorship of the FA as “Community Football Partner”.  The brief was to create eye-catching, highly branded, inflatable games to create the basis of the coaching camps and campaigns which were distinctly McDonalds but also combined a real sense of fun whilst also allowing coaches to deliver real skill drills and training.

The Vision

This brief was perfect for us and with our massive array of football inflatables already produced, we could call on concepts which were already proven in the coaching space, but also create and design brand new concepts which were new to the market and bespoke to this client and campaign.

With a substantial amount of collateral required we proposed a range of items including – 

  • 25m x 15m Inflatable Pitches with Golden Arches entrance
  • Double Lane Dribble Challenges with Golden Arches as side feature
  • Velcro Penalty Shoot-Out Goal with Golden Arches side feature
  • PowerSave Inflatable
  • Inflatable 10m diameter Dome
  • Overhead Kick Inflatable

The Results

The final produced products were everything and more that the client, and we, anticipated.  Big, bold and very red(!) the inflatables have been used across all four home nations (with interchangeable branding on Velcro depending on which is the host country).

Being in use for over 18 years now the inflatables are still going strong and have contributed to thousands of hours of coaching and maybe discovered a few future legends in the process.
