Case Study - Champions Cup Rugby
The Brief
To create a fan village along the iconic Quayside in Newcastle to span the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup competitions. The aim was to provide rugby themed content and activations for all ages and abilities, to promote the sponsor (Heineken) and to provide great engagement for fans of all 4 teams and local visitors alike.
The Vision
From our vast experience of working in rugby and creating rugby Fan Zones we proposed a range of games and activities that covered all skill areas and provided fun engagement regardless of ability.
To ensure that technical skills as well as core skills were encompassed we provided our 5 game Total Skills Test package in a dedicated marquee along with inflatables and game frame structures covering: Passing, Throwing, Tackling and Power.
The Results
The Quayside Champions Rugby Village was a massive success and brought together rugby fans and visitors from across the world to enjoy the rugby atmosphere and visit the iconic North West location.
The Fan Zone was packed everyday from opening to closing and created an incredible atmosphere to welcome the visiting fans and engage all of the participants.
