Nutrition in Practice

I am very proud that Nutrition in Practice has been invited to be a part of the inaugural Great British Sports Show. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get involved in; focussing on family and focussing on fun.

As an independent nutritionist who has worked with Swim teams (and a teenage Olympic Swimmer), Netball Academies, Running Clubs and other high performing and recreational athletes including US and Royal Marines and some exceptional PT’s, I am encouraged that we have an event of this diversity and scale going-on on our Devonshire Doorstep.

We are all aware that the more active we are, the more we are likely to enjoy good health – both physical and mental; and this is where TGBSS can help inspire us to ‘get active’ – even if only for the morning or afternoon. There will be a varied array of sport taster sessions promoting inclusion within sport. Allowing you to experience sports, both new and old, regardless of whether the last time you tried it or did it was over a decade ago; you’ll be able to walk away knowing you’ve at least had a go.

In addition to being physical, tweaking our diet might be a good idea too. We have all been told multiple times ‘you are what you eat’ and it is indisputable that what we eat affects our energy levels, our immune systems, our brain function, our performance etc. be it protecting and maintaining it, or making changes to improve it.

That is where Nutrition in Practice can help! I will be at TGBSS all weekend – alongside the Sugar Smart Exeter Stand – come and say “Hello” and ask me any nutritionally related questions you may have.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Healthy regards,
Tamara
